Comment by nobody important — Wednesday, January 30, 2008 :
"...deep in my heart I know that it really doesn’t matter who we elect..."

I absolutely disagree. If Gore had been elected in 2000 we absolutely not have started our war on Iraq. In fact, I think that if anybody else besides Bush had got in, we would not be in Iraq. Only Bush had a sick desire to get Saddam, and being a little bully and having Rumsfeld, Cheney, ad nauseum cheering him on -- well, now here we are.

If Kerry had won in 2004 we'd be out by now. If anyone besides Bush -- even any of the repuglican candidates in 2000 (who were they again?) -- we would not be Iraq today.

It matters a lot who we elect -- not only who President, but who has a big enough majority in Congress.

Brady! Talk about a hail Mary! Right on! What a game. That was a beautiful throw. I think it's the longest pass attempt I have ever seen.

Right on! I'm so glad I was wrong! But it still was a shitty call. It could have cost them the game! Best Super Bowl in how long? Unless you just don't like low-scoring games. Photo finish!

So... ironically, now that it's almost bedtime, they're forced to go for it on the 4th.. with one yard again! Of course they make it. They could have won....

Well, it wasn't a punt. I was going to say I predicted a NY loss just because of that lousy call. The coach is a pussy. Meow. Unbelievable.

OT

So the Giants finally get a touchdown in the Super Bowl against the undefeateds. First Troy or the other guy says, "The Giants are trying to turn it around!" Shit, its was turned around at that point. I can't believe that with 8 minutes on the clock, 4th down and one lousy yard, they punt! So NE has 7' 40" to move the ball down the field for FG or TD. One lousy yard. I couldn't stand to watch, but I think I just heard that NE punted. Never mind... gotta get back!

I don't get to call while your on. At work at desk. But tell us whether you wear a helmet or not for you cycle. What about the profits made by Exxon? Do you change your oil every 3000 miles or do you follow the manufacturers instructions, 3,000, 5,000, 7,000 or whatever and why? I have seen people get attacked worse for changing their oil at greater mileage than people attack for politics. :o0
Glad to hear you back and workin.

The debate last night was hilarious. Although I can tell you I am completely sick of the whole how she voted debate on Iraq. I really would like to hear how both of them intend to get us out of that hellhole. Bottom line, Obama wasn't in the senate and didn't have to make that decision. I do like Obama, but now that Edwards is gone, I am supporting Hillary because I think she is the most likely to get elected in the general. The idea of President McCain make me seriously naseous. The whole ready on day one versus right on day one baloney is pretty comical. Clinton should have just shot back, "Let's face it Barack, you won't make it to day one." I mean that may be harsh, but that's what I think.

Like Olbermann insinuated the other night, you have to wonder why right wing publications like the New York Post are endorsing him... obviously they figure they can beat him. Hopefully, we can see through all that.
