At this time,an old remington typewriter and a phone in which you had to speak the number into the mouthpiece.

Whew! Nothing like a typewriter for serious writing. Word processors have leached the color and dynamic energy from writing; rewriting becomes way too easy, so you rewrite, , and cut, & paste the heart out of it.
when editing means retyping entire pages, you are less likely to second guess yourself…….
