Only Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone can claim heir apparent status to the fabled Hunter S. Thompson in his ability to dumpster dive into the realm of big time politics and still manage to come away with a few pieces of treasure. His latest offering on McCain’s c**k teasing of the jesus freaks is a beautiful melding of keen observation, cynicism and profanity: ( http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/21896154/without_a_prayer )
As you know, McCain and his henchmen are pooping bricks over the near-universal standing ‘O’ that Obama received during and following his recent globe trot, even resorting to comparing the senator’s rousing reception in Berlin to Hitler’s Nuremberg rallies. A new McCain Obama-hates-the-troops television ad strangely coincides with another toxic, viral email recently circulated ( http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/barackobama/a/afghanistan.htm ), both insinuating Obama would rather be shopping for arugula at the Kirkuk Whole Foods Market than shaking hands with mere grunts. Adding to the hilarity is this latest bit of farsical bullshit that hit internet newsstands yesterday: ( http://www.sadlyno.com/archives/10015.html ). Readers of the Shawn Hannity and Free Republic websites have been gleefully engorging themselves on this garbage for 48 hours now and are doubtless about to form a posse if they can muster the energy to drag their collective ass off the cot in mommie’s basement. If you can get passed the the smell of decaying flesh erupting from the carcass of the neocon movement, you might start picking up the scent of desperation now surrounding the McCain campaign.
Re the dead people list
They had such fantastic luck with the dead people around Clinton list, why wouldn’t they try it again?

Thanks Stacy, I’m made whole again by reading Matt Taibbi’s piece in the Stone. I’ve read and watched him over the years, in print and on the “Bill Mahr” show but this was one of his finest. Starting with Page 2 paragraph 2 left me rolling in the isles. I rate him the second comming of George Carlin.

I don’t read too much into Mike Taibbi’s work on Rolling Stones. But I’ve seen him on Real Time With Bill Maher on several episodes. And he seems to cut through a lot of the conservative bullshit and propaganda being spewed out for public consumption.

Taibbi’s piece completely hilarious. im having fun with it baiting some wingnuts on a gearhead list….
Mahr; a leading source of Global Smarming. Wish he’d shut up & get out of the way when Taibbi or Dan Savage (who crashed on my floor a couple times in the very early 90’s- hey, I dont meet many celebs- Dan was funny & polite & thoughtful.) are on…..

damn- too late to call in. i was tryin to find a piece i remember via google re: “First- lets kill all the lawyers”….I was reminded of this listening to the defence- OUR defence- attorney….the fellow who declaims this in Henry 6 is a thief & drunkard, who dreams of doing away with what stands between him & living life as he whims: Law, and lawyers. The two keep tripping up his plans. Put him behind bars, in fact.
Chop down all the lawyers, indeed…..and when the cold wind of injustice howls across the fens, behind what will we shelter?
remove that inconvenient wall that divides desire from action, and what will stop those whose actions are ruled solely by desire?
remember that, when someone quotes it approvingly: what, actually, they are saying.
No, this guy might make big bucks, but its guys like him that stand between us & misrule by men .
Sure as hell aint the Democrats.
and Tommy Chong is a kind & wise man…
i crawled out from under the bed & had my morale restored by your sure to be “Best of” show today…thanks.

You remember Hatfill, the previous anthrax spreader? his life a living hell, for YEARS, over this? How about We Ho Lee, held in solitary well over a year, threatened with execution as a spy? Had to plead to a misdemeanor & promise not to seek redress after HIS persecution was revealed as a fraud? How about MASSIVE scandals coming out of the FBI Crime Lab?
Maybe this guy wanted to avoid being another Hatfill, or Wen Ho Lee.
Check this out…

Another one for Dipmutt to rail against. Notice the TUNA on the 3/4 day boat. That is about 5 to 15 miles off shore or less. And Dorado on the half day boats. That is less than 5 miles out. One day and longer boats are catching them also. Bear in mind that half of the anglers on these boats are tourist that don’t have a clue as to how to catch Tuna so the guys that know what to do score pretty well. Bear in mind that it is a slow season by most standards for Tuna. Dorado ( Mahi Mahi)fishing is red hot right now as you can see. The longer of a trip you go on the better it gets. And that is with the Mexican purse seiners working the baja coast over as doing as they please un regulated. We obey their sport fishing rules tat limit us to 5 Tuna a day and 23 Dorada a day per person. They take TONs with one set of the net. Yea no Tuna Dipmutt………..

Slow Tuna where they are but look at the Yellotails…tuna was good earlier in the year and the Yellowfin fishing will get better as the season goes on.

Or how about this one dumbmutt. Seems you boy from nNtional Geo didn’t bother to even check out the easiest of facts to discover about the Bluefin tuna in his ranting article. They are speciemans weighing well over twice what he says they weigh. So if he can’t even get that simple fact corect I wonder what other BS his article contains.
And buy the way I was saying pretty much the same thing he says in his article about the over fishing from other countries and fish stocks being in decline. Nobody disputs these facts. Especially fisherman that know what they are talking about like me !!!. Japan , Mexico etc etc etc are the problem. Not the USA. We are the ones that helped save the Dolphins you dipsquat. But could the exteremist environazi’s deal with it and let the industry stay here and actually silve the problem? ? No, they ruined the local fleet and drove them over seas where now the Dolpins are killed in mass by others ( Mexico in outr area) who could give a shit less.. Never did I say the oceans were not in decline. I actually was disputing your stupid ass knee jerk statement of their being no ” No Tuna left out there anyway”. Sorry Charlie. You make a dumbass ill informed statement like that and you are just a spouting off fool trying to make some stupid point by twisting the facts and making people think what you want them to believe rather than the actual truth of the matter. If there were no Tuna there would be no mexican fleet harvesting them then just south of here. I will post yopu a report about next. In fact I think I will just Bury you dumbmutt ass in this subject.
Actual Facts about Bluefin Tuna>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_bluefin_tuna You probably won’t have the nuts to even read it since you can’t even post with you real name.

Notice Dumbmutt that tuna are well within 15 miles of our coast RIGHT NOW!!! So much for your moronic ” there are no Tuna out there anyway ” statement that you made on the air the other day while trying to make some asinine point about the fishing industry. Dolphin and Tuna facts>> One of the main ways that Yellowfin Tuna are found by the purse seiners in the western pacific is by following Dolphin pods. The Tuna follow along beneith the Dolpins using them as a guide to find food due to the Dolphin great sonar abilities. Fishermen know this and use the Dolpin as a guide to find the Tuna. This is why there is a problem with Dolphin being caught in the Tuna nets. The net is let out around the school and then pulled tight catching everything in the area. Many sharks are caught in these nets also. So The US fleet under pressure from the Dolphin huggers developed nets that allowed for the release of the Dolphins that tend to stay near the surface in the net. The fishermen have to jump into the water and open the gates in the top of the nets and herd the Dolphins out through these doors at great risk to themselves. Sharp fins from the thrashing Tuna, Angry and frighten Sharks and the Dolphins themselves all pose serious danger to the men in the water and many have been seriously injured and killed trying the help Flipper out of the nets. And what thanks did they get from the econazi\’s for all of this effort? More spit in the face is about all they got. More boycotts and more protests etc etc etc until finally the DOLPHIN SAFE FLEET that was actually doing something about the problem was put out of business here by the loud mouth fools and their closed mind protests. The Boats were all sold or the companies moved to the south pacific islands like Samoa, Japan,Mexico etc where none of them obey the USA standards and so the Dolphins are killed all the time now thanks to the dipshits that would not let up on their extremist ways. The tide was turning thanks to the US fleets efforts but now that they have been put out of business the rest of the worlds fleets ,Japan and Mexico are the worst, do as they please and laugh at the Dolphin huggers who ended up actually making the Dolphin killing worse in the end. When you see Dolphin safe Tuna on the shelves it is typically Albacore. This type of Tuna is not caught in nets in the first place. The Albies have an uncanny ability to not get wrapped by the seiners and are all caught by hook and line trolling boats with no Dolphin damage at all. It’s not because the boats that catch them are trying to be Politicly correct and go easy on the Dolphins. Dolphins don’t bite fishing lures…EVER!! So all Albacore by nature is Dolphin safe. The safe label that tugs at your heart in the canned fish isle is a gimmic form the companies that sell it to you and they tug at your heart strings and make you think you are saving Flipper when you buy it. I often laugh out loud when I see people buy this very expensive Tuna thinking they are saving Flipper by doing so. Flipper is not effected by so called Dolphin safe Albacore. It’s a joke!!! They are making an extra high profit fro you ignorance..ha ha ha ha ha ha !!
