Forgive me,but anything that would have prevented Whitney Houston or BJ would have been worth their effort to rid us of their endless warbeling. I’m not sure my tastes would make me tolerate Juice or the Libs but the idea is interesting. However I can tolerate some of the Eagles,but not in the reunion tours though. I’m only interested in good music done by groups or individuals who can at least read music and carry a tune. The same could be said for the endless shit-load of Rapp called (music?) I don’t know about you, but I get concerned, angry and dissappointed by our elected officials on an hourly basis most days, whether I listed to Stacy or not. I like the ability to discuss issues I feel are important with like-mined individuals. Sometimes I find a whole other way of looking at an issue. And sometimes I even learn a thing or two.
4. There are many national message boards out there, but I like the idea of being part of a more local discussion.

Stacy just gained serious cool points with me on mentioning the Libertines. It’s a shame the press focuses only on Doherty and his colorful passtime without noticing that the two Libertines studio albums as well as Pete’s new project Babyshambles is some of the best music to come out of the past few years. Don’t believe me go listen to a sample of the song Time For Heroes right now. Simply brilliant. I’ve been saying for the past couple of years to anyone who would listen how great the Libertines were.

Okay folks here is a crash course on how online forums work. I’ve been on many of these things now either as a casual observer or an active poster as I am here, every subject from music and movies to politics and even tattoos. Generally most people on a forum agree on any number of things. They get to know each other to an extent and even in disagreement are generally respectful and act like adults. I would like to think the vast majority of people on this forum are free thinkers, intelligent or at least inquisitive as well we should strive to be. But then someone shows up posting some contrarion bullshit, arguing with everybody on the web site just for the sake of attempting to piss everyone off. Every forum gets them. My theory is these people are usually attention whores or losers, most likely sitting in mom’s basement in their crusty boxers posting insults to the regulars rather than, oh I don’t know, getting a meaningful life. Don’t bother arguing with them, for you cannot educate the willful ignorant. They are here to antogonize. I’m sure someone might try to post a clever flame response to this post. Go right ahead. I will ignore it rather than jumping into an online thirteen year old pissing contest with a juvenile moron. Have a good one everybody.

So Virginia, Do you suppose that the folks in the Ranchita area would be just as up in arms and opposed to a bunch of those ugly ass wind power generating things that you see out by Palm Springs, near Tahacapi and out by Golden Acorn Casino? To me both are of about the same level of ugly as the powerlink but one creates no polution while the proposed powerlink uses ( oil, coal or gas fired ) fossil fuels to derive the power I think. One the one hand I think we need the added power of the link but on the other hand probably nobody would want the ugly towers and wires running through their area of coarse. But gez whizz. I have a power pole in my back yard that I have to live with that I would just as soon not have to look at. Same goes for the ugly highway 52 that runs right through San Clemete canyon by my place where I like to go hiking for exercise. It always seems that pople want the convience of modern life but NOT IN MY BACK YARD. You know, the NIMBY effect, right?
Guess I will have to stay in shape so that I can really get away from it all on my two camping trips into the high Sierra’s coming up soon. Bet I stil see an airplane or two no matter how far in I hike. Good luck on your back country festivle out there in Ranchita. I love that area. It sure looks like fun but I will be way out away from it all that weekend doing some fishing in a high mountain lake. I am a member of the Sierra club BTW. My whole family always have been. After all we are CONSERVATIVES. So we are into conserving as the name would imply.

Lmao……..my experence is just the opposite. The regulars are usually the attenion whores ( mutt for example with his millions of posts) and would not know real free thinking of it hit them in the face. They simply tow the line of what the Mob talks about, while patting each other on the back all the time on their favorite blog or forums. The can’t tolerate any decenting position. Someone comes in with some differnt ideas and they are attacked and called all sorts of childish names as if we were on a elementy school play ground. I see it all the time. This little incestious blog is no different.
