Dear Stacy-
It has been a while since I used to call in to your morning show as “John from OB.” I, also, was one
of the people with CPR San Diego who helped to organize the very successful program that you
highlighted from Trophy’s during one of the Presidential Debates back in 2008. Many of us miss
your being on the air here, regularly. Nevertheless, I was pleased to hear that you will be subbing for
Randy Rhodes on her national talk show early in July. I only hope that that does not preclude you from being with us for an evening program on July1, 2010..
. We will be holding the 4th in a series of “Defending Democracy Forums” at the 1st UU Church of S.D. on Thursday, 7/01/10, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.. We are looking for several strong presenters for a Symposium Panel on the theme of: “Are corporations increasing their control over our lives in the U.S. and, if so, how can we best deal with this?” There are a number of standpoints from which we could look at this question during the evening.
One of these is: “How large corporations dominate the talk show radio circuit, and how that affects the talk show radio programming in San Diego.” This is an area that several people have nominated you to be the spokesperson for, even though you deserve an entire evening for the things you would have to say. Moreover, we won’t be able to pay honorariums to our speakers that night, because we are just trying to break even. However, if you would like to advertise any information about your upcoming activities, Stacy, we would like to reserve a table there for you to do so.
You should know that we had, previously, selected Steven Freeman of Election Integrity Forum, and the University of Pennsylvania, to be the keynote speaker for the Forum event. He is an expert on how our corporate controllers can steal an election, and will be coming at the overall theme from that standpoint.
Because we wanted to include a wider breadth of related subject matter that evening, we felt that a several member Symposium Panel would be appropriate to add to our program.. It would allow each speaker to have a certain amount of time to present some basic ideas on their topic, and would provide food for thought for the audience to ask questions about these topics afterward.
You should know that we, also, will be showing the trailer for the film, “SAVE KLSD,” that Jon
Monday and Jennifer Douglas are producing and in which you play a major part. Should you be in
San Diego the day of our “Defending Democracy Forum,” and decide to join in our program, I would
like to discuss with you how you would like to relate to the showing of that trailer.
Please check your schedule and then let us know if you will be able to join with us that evening. We look forward to your response, Stacy.
Yours for a wonderful event, John from OB

Yo’ Stay,
Caught some of your fill in today-tonight. just wanted to say good job and I swear you were mind reading me. most of the time. Are you a Mindgamer?
My god, how good to hear you again.. I have so missed your riffs and rambles and your humor. I agree about McChrystal. But how can anyone drink bud lite lime??
Hi Stacy,
In California, the top Unemployment benefit about $450 a week. My husband’s been unemployed for over 18 months. We’re close to losing our house and after next month, we lose our health insurance.
Great to hear you filling in for Randi! I used to email you when you had your morning show on KLSD. Can’t believe I would get up so early in the morning to listen to you and Scooter.
I was listening to that guy Carlos from Phoenix. He said he filled out W-2 forms for his illegal employees. Illegals can file income tax returns. They get an identification number (not a social security number) from the IRS.
As far as Immigration trying to bust employers for hiring illegals, they do NOT want to do that. If the government was serious about ending illegal immigration they would bust the employers but they do not do that.
I don’t know anything about how illegals get medical care in Arizona. American citizens like myself cannot get free or even reasonably priced medical care here in California and there are sure no free rides to the hospital or anywhere else.
Stacy why don’t you use Ustream to have a show on the internet like Nicole Sandler does?
Guns and Guns and Guns of FUN! Let Them (the small people) Eat Guns:
Chicago is exploding with gun-powered violence, the Mayor limits access to handguns, and the Republican-Packed Supreme Court reverses the limitation to remedy the problem by adding more guns.
If any gun violence event of late has shown — school shootings, gang violence, etc. — adding more guns is the obvious solution.
Just take Court Rooms and Airlines for example: what messes these are, and it’s obvious that the problem is the absence of guns. Think of the increased justice and prompt arrivals we’d experience if we just added guns.
These are tough times — unemployment, cost-cutting disasters, fraud, massive disinformation, Fox Noise, alien invaders, public unrest — it’s clear we need a good solution, and guns, particularly more guns, are obviously it.
Money is tight — people can’t pay mortgages, employers can’t pay decent wages, Big Biz can’t be liable, Wall Street barely made bonuses — the funds to hire half of the angry masses to kill the other half just isn’t there (Iraq and Afghanistan not withstanding), but the Supreme Court is bought and paid for, thanks to forward thinking Republicans in the other two branches.
So send in the guns!
They will buy them themselves.
Problems solved.
Hungry? Forget Rush’s advice to dumpster dive, get a gun, you’ll never go hungry again.
Neighborhood shooting scaring the kids? Ma, Pa, get your guns, end this thing once and for all.
Gang bangers looking you over? Whip out your gun and let ‘em know they can’t mess with you anymore.
Protesting getting you nowhere? Not when you wield guns.
Protesters bugging you? Blow them away!
Not enough checkstands open at the market? Not when you have your Smith & Wesson gold card.
Can’t get a job because you’ve been unemployed too long? Reveal your own personal concealed crony and get the job and corner office, too.
On and endlessly on, difficult problems solved by simply adding guns. Thanks to those wise and benevolent Republicans who have obviously thought of everything.
To all you business owners and CEOs, beef up security! To all the troubled Small People, Let Them Eat Guns!
What address do you receive emails for the Randi show?
Quit LA and the studios for the Portland NW Dream ’91, LOST MY LIBERAL MULTI-MEDIA CAFE SHIRT ’93, lost my last car in ’94, ride a bike since ’02, last collected UI ’07.
Let’s get the “SMALL PEOPLE” to kick some BIG BIZ Republican ass and bring back our great MIDDLE CLASS!!
Hey, Please lay off Lara Logan, she’s mine!
I’ve been following her on CBS for years now, she’s from South Africa, and she was one of the few CBS War correspondents in Iraq, ala Dan Rather. She looked great in military fatigues and she still looks great now. Don’t hate her cuz she’s beautiful, I don’t.
Senator Sessions is a polyp from Haley Barbour’s rectum. Haley Barbour is so vile, such a swollen sack of pus, only a swarm of pregnant flies could love him. But he does have some… one redeeming quality, he is the only American who could be arrested for indecency just for reciting the pledge of allegiance in public. “Auh puuleeejj auhleeejzizzzzzzzzz….”
The Jones Act issue is a right-wing talking point. From Media Matters:
CLAIM: Obama’s refusal to waive Jones Act has prevented international assistance. Fox News’ Dick Morris, Bill O’Reilly and Oliver North have similarly asserted that Obama’s purported refusal to waive the Jones Act has prevented the United States from accepting aid from foreign ships.
REALITY: International assistance is part of Gulf spill response. In an interview on the June 15 edition of Fox & Friends, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs stated that “foreign entities are operating within the Gulf that help us respond” to the oil spill. Further, in a June 15 press release, the Deepwater Horizon Incident Joint Information Center stated, “Currently, 15 foreign-flagged vessels are involved in the largest response to an oil spill in U.S. history.” The Center further explained, “No Jones Act waivers have been granted because none of these vessels have required such a waiver to conduct their operations in the Gulf of Mexico.” The administration has further stated that they would waive the Jones Act if waivers were requested, but that “there are no pending requests for foreign vessels to come into the Gulf.”
Changing the format of 1360 from progressive to Sports did in AM radio in San Diego for me.
I used to turn on 1360 first thing in the morning and if there was a program I didn’t care for I would change the radio to another San Diego AM station.
Now I get a progresive radio station through the internet, usually KTLK Los Angeles, and leave it on all day. No more advertising opportunities for San Diego Companies.
Hi Stacy,
Just found your new & improved blog & it’s great to enjoy your comments and opinions once again. Are you on-air again anywhere?
Spike,
No way to add comments to your blog?
I know…the RW freaks ruin it.
A little FYI:
In “Vanishing Point” I think you mistook TARP for ARRA in the second to last paragraph…just sayin’.
You rock!
longtime fan,

Stacy
C’mon Stacey!! Internet radio and Stacy Taylor are like cowboy boots and horse shit. A smart kid like you? I would’ve thought a wise guy like you would already be there!!
Coug’
hmmmmm. At it again I see!
You say God, Guns and Gays won’t work again for the Republicans.
Right?
It worked well enough for Kasich in Ohio and Snyder in Michigan. It worked really well for Perry in Texas and he just might up being on the national ticket next time around. He’s as dumb as a ham sandwich but so are most southerners…and there are more of them than there are of you. Never forget that.
You want to keep in mind that it got Reagan elected twice, Daddy Bush once and his son twice although I have to admit Ohio was close. Had a few more people in Franklin county (Columbus) voted for Kerry, he would have been President.
Let’s take a look at the Electoral College. You’ll remember Tim Russert saying in 2000 that carrying two out of three among Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida would carry the race. Guess what? That’s even more true now than it was then…and there’s NO chance of Obama doing that again because there’s no Lehman Brothers to collapse next time around. Had Paulson elected to save Lehman, McCain might have won. That’s accepted fact. We have the data. Obama pulled ahead after the collapse because of all the old people in those three states who lost so much money. It was a once in a lifetime event (traders call it a Black Swan) that we won’t see again. It also means Obama won’t get a second term unless the Republicans really screw things up which I suspect won’t be allowed.
If the truth be known, it doesn’t matter WHAT you think about the races going forward. Dubya won twice without California and the southern/western Electoral calculus is more beneficial to conservatives than it was in 2008. North Carolina now has more Electoral votes than New Jersey and that’s bound to have an effect on fund raising and the eventual outcome.
And as for you simply discounting all this as opinion, let’s just say I get my information from the top. My wife and I work on local campaigns. I know Del Becarro and have been to his house for parties, have met Meg and Carly personally, have had lunch with Christie Todd Whitman and Ward Connerly, etc. Meg and Carly would have been great candidates anywhere else but in this state, people only want to hear that no one’s going to cut off that government check. Eventually, it WILL end.
The Republicans 2012 candidate? It almost has to be Romney because that’s how the party works. It’s his turn, he’s next, he has the money and connections. Bain Capital is his family company and he’s very tight with Ailes and the boys over at Fox. He’ll be the one and I’ll bet he wins. The race will end up being a referendum on Obama, just like the House and Senate races of 2010.
Enjoy your weekend.
This is so funny. I stumbled across an old air america article and remembered a while back that I called in to your show. I said that you would lose your day job real soon. Air America was losing funding (soros got tired of your sorry ass hanging on to his teet.) You said that I did not know what I was talking about. Hummm…..shortly after our conversation you were off the air. I offered you a job mowing my lawn. I even offered you the use of my rake and gas powered mower. You declined and instead went to AM1700. I did not know the am dial went that high! What happened? You lost that gig too! Now where are you? down in your mom’s basement… typing away at your blog. By the way….the job offer is still open (mowing my lawn) though the wage has gone down because illegal alien competition is allowing me the option to pay very little for this type of work. I would seriously think about the offer. There are not too many job offers for talentless Marxist mouth pieces.
Hey, do you have a link so we can donate to your blog?
One time caller,
Uh, you would actually hire illegal aliens. Too bad your not in Arizona cause then you would be locked up being forced to drop your soap.
Don’t recall saying I would hire illegals. Quite the opposite. I’m opposed to illegal immigration.
You can donate to my blog by posting comments, as you already have. Always appreciate the comments.

The above is the email address I got from the KGO web site. My email to you was returned with the message that it is not a working address. I hope KGO will correct their error before you next host which I hope will be soon!
KGO’s always had its share of hosts who were too clueless to consider the obvious, or pretended to be dense, to provoke their callers into dialing in to submit the obvious answers, but these past few years many hosts have been totally clueless on simple issues, and they’ll take twenty calls without getting one that is informed or rational!
Why to gun weenies take such delight in wearing their empty guns so openly you asked, and listeners called in to suggest that they all had penis envy, etc. Perhaps after I tuned out in disgust you got a call from a sentient being, but if not, here’s my explanation.
They want to have a weapon handy for self-defense, abelieve they have a constitutional right to “bear arms”.
Since they concede that laws forbid them to carry a concealed weapons (loaded or not), or to openly carry a loaded weapon, the reason they’re carrying unloaded weapons openly is that it’s the only legal option available to them . . . . unless they prefer not to exercise their right to bear arms or be prepared to defend themselves if the occasion arises.
I’d formerly thought that I had to keep my guns unloaded, and locked in a “case” or the truck of my car—not just unloaded, but not touching or even close to the ammunition.
So when I’d roll up to the warehouse I once owned in the ghetto, and which had been repeatedly broken into, ripped off, used as a crash pad and shooting gallery, I’d have to park the truck on the property, unlock the steel tool box, load the revolver, and then I’d wrap a newspaper around it so as not to be reported to the police by a noisy neighbor, or appear so threatening that a cop, tweaker or thug on or near the property could be justified in shooting first.
This got tedious after the first dozen times, and the first time I didn’t bother getting out the revolver and loading it up, I went ’round back through the gate to the back door, and was immediately assaulted by two pit bulls which had gotten into the yard. It wasn’t the emergency I’d been anticipating prior to that, but was the perfect occasion to use my gun in legitimate self defense. It was too late to climb a tree, jump the fence or escape, and I had no way to defend myself, but things could have been worse. The dog clamp onto to upper thigh, about a half inch short of my penis or testicules, and only hung on for a couple of minutes before he let go.
What’s remarkable is that when I called animal control, they did no more than visit the owner and confirm that the dog had had rabies shots. I say they should have fined him a thousand bucks, minimum, and impounded the dogs at $100/day until he’d reinforced his fence so that they couldn’t possiblly escape.
Anyway, revolvers aren’t that practical for Open Carry, but a semi-auto pistol on one side of one’s belt with a couple of ammo cllips on the other enables anyone with coordination and a few minutes’ practice to be able to get the gun out, the magazine in, and a round in the chamber in a matter of three or four seconds.
Then he might find himself in violation of some law, but if the circumstances justify loading or even firing the weapon, he’d be unlikely to be charged by a fair DA, and far less likely to be convicted by any jury.
It’s possible that some gun-toters have small peckers or insecurity issues, but sometimes a hot dog is just a sausage, and donut is just a donut, and people bear arms for the most obvious and appropriate reasons—-it’s within their rights, and they feel a legitimate need for the means of self defense. T’other occasions when Open Carry seems reasonable are if your vehicle is not secure, and the risk of theft of a lethal weapon is extreme if it’s left in the cab of a pickup, the saddle bags of a motor cycle, or in the storage compartment of a boat.
When there was an open carry picnic in Vallejo, about a dozen advocates who knew the score were the sponsors, about four dozen curious 2nd amendment supporters made the scene, another dozen random bums drifted in for the free lunch, and a couple of pencil-dicks came to protest the extreme risk that the presence of these empty weapons posed to the children of Vallejo.
It was very informative, and that’s important, ’cause not only did 95% of the citizens not know that open carry was legal at the time, but 95% of cops didn’t know, either. So the sponsors distributed printed info on the law so we’d know how to stay in compliance (steer clear of schools!), and also so we’d have a copy of the pertinent laws, interpretations, and other info we could use to educate an police officers or sheriff’s deputies who tried to enforce non-existent laws and violate our rights.
So the other purpose of the exercise, especially wearing unloaded guns at a public picnic on the waterfront, was to exercise our rights, lest we lose them, and to assert our rights so the others among us, including the police, became aware of the law and its interpretations.
I attended black churches from time to time in the sixties, just to make it abundantly apparent that I respected them and their faith at a time when 11 a.m. on Sunday was the most segregated hour of the week. I often exercise my right to beach access and other such stuff not because it matters to me at that particular place and time, but because if we don’t exercise certain rights when we don’t need to, we’ll find that they’re no longer recognized when we do.
That’s all. Kemper Vallejo
Just a note to say that I have been intrigued by your KGO show and wanted to learn more about you. I thought the Walkie Talkie interview in San Diego City Beat was a hoot!
I don’t have any pull with KGO, but I do know that KGO management has read and acted on various postings I’ve made to broadcast-related forums and newsgroups. So, I’m beginning to bring up your name in posts and suggesting that you’d be a cool addition to the regular (that is M-F) KGO schedule.
What a great interview: http://www.sdcitybeat.com/sandiego/article-519-walkie-talkie.html
Thanks for an interesting show. I thought I noticed that you were pro same-sex marriage, but in the prelude to the interview it appears that you’re against it. Shift of opinion on the issue?
