Stacy,

I heard your commentary on the Drudge photo of Barack in some kind of costume, and how silly it all was.

I think you mentioned that Bush dressed up too. I think this link is absolutely hilarious, given the context of Drudge and the right-wing-noise-mahcine...

I mean, did you know Bush is secretly a North Vietnamese communist!? (And isn't that Putin next to him?!)

Good Heavens! Shame on the Main Stream Media. How high school can you get? If I thought that Mrs. Obama's comment would have a negative effect on the condition of our country, I might understand this uproar. How does her pride affect important political concerns like, oh, I don't know...PROTECTING AND DEFENDING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

HARHAR!!! Repubs are SOOO friggin funny. I read in the CSM an article about Mittheads appeal to "conservatives" He was touted as "fixing" floundering mismanaged Corps- by firing the workers, in reality- and getting the Olympics into Utah.
But wasnt that "fixed"?. Didnt various hacks actually go to prison for bribery, extortion, etc over that? Is that what Repubs mean by "fixing" things??
You cant make this up.......
cant blame you for skippin politics fri. Aint much for music these days, but a change is good. theres only so much a sane mind can take of dissecting Cheneyist- Reaganism. And Dead Eye Dicks flying monkey just evokes disgust at this point.
Keep it up Stace, sole voice of reason on Dago's airwaves. Podcasts would be great, we could fire you up @ 6.30 AM like the old daze......

i don't listen to 1700 much but did catch your show on the 5th of february minimizing west virginia. i am not from wv but from nearby ohio-35 miles from wv.

some of the things you did not list as contributions from wv were as follows:

1. Robert Bird, one of the greatest senators of our time is from wv.
2. Mothman is a wv phenom-look it up r. gere did a movie about this thing
3. The highest single lotto winner in u.s. history is from wv-i think he won a $150 million check before taxes.
4. If not the first, one of the first land battles of the civil war was fought in phillipe? wv
5. JONAS SALK DISCOVERED HIS VACCINE FOR POLIO AT PITTSBURGH WV-PERHAPS THE ONLY MEDICAL DISCOVERY IN THE LAST CENTURY THAT PREVENTED A MAJOR DISEASE IN THE U.S.
6. Stonewall Jackson was born in WV.
7. "Belle" Boyd a Confederat spy and heroine of the confereracy was born in wv.
8. Booker T. Washington was from WV
9. James Rumsey-presumbed to be the inventor of the steamboat was from wv
10. Sadly, wv was once a democrat stronghold but i believe in 2000 and 04 voted for bush but in 06 after rove and co tried to dismember bird, he won by a landslide.
11. As a high school lad a friend of mine drove me to parkersbury wv to see the "red" light district (there was one)

i wish you the very best in your quest to help to change the way this country is governed.

i am not trying to prop wv up i just thought you should know

Stacy:

I’m glad to know your back up and running.

Some response for yesterday’s program:

1.	For all intents, Obama is not perceived as black (which is why the smear is about being a Muslim). He acts as white as any Ivy League graduate. And Hilary Clinton is not perceived primarily as a white woman. She is perceived for attitude, motive and loyalties. These are red herring issues directed at the gullible by talking heads trying to steer this election.

2.	Whereas McCain is playing all the usual right-wing fears cards—all the things the insecure have been trained and brainwashed to worry about. McCain shows little capacity for original thought or real leadership. All his speeches will be written. He will be the new puppet who merely thinks he is boss.

3.	Politicians still in the race running for the presidency are those that have no radical agendas. The word radical means getting to the “radix” or “root” of the problem—which is sometimes necessary. These mediocre candidates left standing are the personalities the Powers-That-Be have effectively foisted onto the American consciousness via the main stream crime syndicate and their deception tactics. They support the status quo. While the American public is too retarded to realize that Ralph Nader was right—both parties are too corrupt to support any longer. Americans are too distracted to realize the real work requires something more original than playing the media’s game of status quo pulp fiction.

4.	I too read the Shock Doctrine Rise of Catastrophe Capitalism. It is about how the fanatical ideology of Milton Friedman’s Chicago School of laissez faire has ted our foreign policy for the last five decades and that in essence supported around the world. It is a must and shocking read for those that want to know what has been going on. Naomi Klein really connects the dots on this important meteor of a work. Let the American sheeple wake up and smell the wolf’s breathe in their own backyard. The wolf skeleton in America’s closet still has an appetite and on its teeth. Wake up and read this work so as to fill your soul with anxiety to realize the fields can be anywhere—even in our own naïve paradise.

5.	You are right about the talking heads playing reverse psychology with John McCain’ electability. Even Ann Coulter is not likely so evil as to really support . The fact is, given Mccain’s past as a POW, he was “weak” and wobbly on denouncing (which is why he is not a good candidate—he does not have quality sensibilities about moral issues). Whereas Ann Coulter is an “object” of interest—which is why several of those prurient paparazzi ought be following her around with a camera. You said you would not be too predisposed to click on a video showing Britney Spears or Paris Hilton getting out of a car without wearing panties. Well I would be so inclined to click on some exposes of Ann Coulter’s assets—her legs and derriere. She is basically tabloid sensation material anyway and we should be focusing on her better physical qualities than that of her mediocre mentality. So can you please make an appeal for the parasites of the paparazzi to give Miss Asset a spin? I just know she is worthy of attention.

Thank you,

Johnny Walk of Central Park (pahk) Balboa wishing you a very merry Scottish Mardi Gras.
