  1. Thanks for the podcast with Scot Tempesta. Loved the way Scot started out with the cordial greeting to Cliff Albert. Nothing like a heartfelt FU to show your tender concerns for someone who has richly earned their special reward. My only complaint is that the podcast had to end. I guess that is the secret, leave your audience begging for more. I’ll be listening tomorrow for part 2.

  2. This whole mess really started with the de-regging of the media industry ushered in by the Gingrich-driven Congress…unfortunately Clinton, thinking the media loved him (a quote from a personal friend of his)..and Clinton later wondered “did I de-regulate it too much?”

Of course massive bills that are pro-business or pro-Wall St are writing by and for those industries who pay bribes (aka lobby) to get these passed. So we are where we are… and Clear Channel, which was capped at owning 40 stations…shot for the stars…went public and owned upward of 1400 stations at one point….and we all got the moon….

and they screwed themselves with their rightwing windbags and nut-jobs….they have lost their ratings, their listeners, their advertisers and their revenue….they are nearly $21 billion in debt …. a colossal flop … and essentially bankrupt….they went public…then private…then bought up by Romney’s Bain…and screwed a lot of people along the way … it’s all spelled out in the Bloomberg …. don’t forget to turn the lights out, Cliff … c’est la vie…

  3. these podcasts are great … i went back and listened to all of your prior podcasts … you should parse those out and put them all in one place where they are archived …

also, i think you should do more and do radio the way you used to do it … stream of conscious on any topics that suit your fancy … sure, weigh in on an issue or cause, but talk about your travels..your pitbulls…your war stories from the past … general interest… whatever…you always give a lot of thought to subject matter …. i think we all have a bit of politics fatigue …. it’s all we get mostly, and probably a large reason why ratings have fallen….too one-dimensional …

just do one 20 minute podcast a day and that should be plenty…i’ll be you could get sponsors and your fans would return …. whaddya think?
